Problem: Challenge was to handle scalability of the data gathered for this product. The problem was to gather public information about people and their liking from various social networking sites and deduce inference based on that which is useful for various companies during their marketing campaign.
Solution from Zest: Zest’s web team is well aware of data mining and challenges regarding scalability. Data Collector software was developed to collect information which collected around 30 million user profiles and their mapping with each other and liking towards specific products. The relationship was well over 1 billion records! We started with MySQL to MySQL-E and finally moved to Oracle. We also developed very innovative graphical interface which was step by step wizard to define marketing campaign having goals and realistic expectation based on collected data.

Executed test cases on multiple platforms using regular builds and reported bugs in Bugzilla. Covered functional, negative, stress and performance tests. Opened well over 400+ defects and verified most of them.
